Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress known for her leading roles in a variety of television shows and for her enthralling performance in films. The popularity of her is shared by both Canadian and American TV. When Emily was twelve, she started to get interested in acting after she visited her sister Katie at the location of one of her films. As soon as she discovered that acting was a love, she began to take acting lessons and auditions. Her first audition was for commercials for a few minutes before being offered a role on the Canadian kids' horror TV show Are You Fearful of Darkness? It was just only one scene and without dialogue. Her debut break came around the age of 15 when she was cast in the series of the WB called Glory Days as a regular. Emily's acting skills caught the attention of Dawson's Creek's Greg Berlanti, who then cast her on his television show Everwood. Emily is also a dancer as well as a photographer. She was listed as one of the top 20 teens' actresses. Maxim's Hot 100 for 2014 listed her at number 51.
