Jenna Fischer was best known for portraying Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on television. Her role on The Office brought her an Emmy nomination for Most Outstanding Supporting Actress category. In addition, she received two SAG Awards, both for outstanding performances by the cast of a comedy.
Her birthplace and childhood was within Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna was awed by her mother, Anne, perform in church plays when she was a child that instilled a passion for theater and performing.
Theater actress with training, Fischer returned to her roots after wrapping The Office. The Off-Broadway show she starred in was the show Reasons to be Happy, written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. She went on to star in the world premiere of Steve Martin's newest play Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking performance on the Old Globe Theatre.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's closest friend from real life and Fischer began the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf at the end of October 2019. The show quickly gained popularity. Each week it ranked among the Top Ten in global downloads, with over 200 million in just its first couple years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Years award in January of 2021.
She is also co-author of Office BFF's Tales of The Office: From Two Best Friends The Office. This autobiography is about the relationship between them and how they worked in the production of The Office.
