Anne Phung Nguyen

Anne Phung Nguyen is my name. I'm Vietnamese American Entrepreneur living in Orange County California. My wonderful partner JP and my wonderful Dad Henry are also part of our extended family. People know me best through my Instagram page @annephung. In this blog, I will share my tale of highs, lows, and everything in between. The year 1990 was the time I emigrated to America along with my brother and parents at the age of one and half. If it wasn't for my parents' passion for dedication and hard work, I probably wouldn't even be with you sharing my journey. In the hope of having an improved life, I wanted to do my best to please them, and was focused on my success. My goal was to attend school in order to finish my studies and secure an employment that was good. And then I wanted a wife and kids. The lifestyle I had imagined for myself wasn't what it turned out. In 2013, I realized that I was not happy going to work at my corporate job. Status and money did inspire me. I thought I was just wasting my time in exchange for an income. When I began to navigate my way towards a new job, I realized that I was meant to be an instructor. I was a fan of exercising, I enjoyed having fun and I loved helping others. The year 2014 was the year I began my business on the side and in this 2021 will see me celebrating my 7th year anniversary. As an Asian female working in the field, we are among the many of us. As an instructor, my aim is to motivate others and empower them to live a healthy and fulfilled life through creating sustainable lifestyles that cater to the individual's goals and needs. Also, I strive to inspire others to go after their goals and achieve all they wish to achieve in their lives. As my professional career took off I also lost my mom. This loss is the most devastating of them all. She has won the eight-year struggle with Scleroderma. Now she's resting on Heaven and I will keep her in my heart. We can learn a lot from our experiences, though it may be difficult to spot it in the moment. There are many ways that my mom's death changed me. It is my belief that she offered me another chance to experience her loss. In the morning of Tet/Lunar New Year Day, she passed away. The time was right for her to move on to the next chapter of her life and for me to have the chance to live one that was meaningful and enjoyable. As I enter the 30's I am more alive than ever. I can truly say that I live my life today and not just surviving like I was in the past. When I tell the story of my experiences, it's in the hope that others can relate to my feelings and thoughts. To know that they're not on their own. It is also a sign of genuine love. Also that therapy is necessary and not unusual. Also, health is your biggest wealth. You have only one life. I wish you to live it to the fullest.
