Katherine Heigl, the actress of "Grey's Anatomy," has herself about her experience of being born into an environment that was a "white bubble" and how this revelation has affected the way she raises her multiracial adopted children. In an interview, actress Katherine Heigl, who plays "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actress shared her body didn't matter to her, however, after having a conversation with her adoptive sister in South Korea about how society was treating them, she became aware of how much different the two were. "I asked Meg whether she felt treated differently when she went out with us parents than when she went out by herself. Meg replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl admitted to parents, "That made me realise how foolish I was." She became enraged by the incident, and decided to use that anger to assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl has a four-year old son and a 13-year-old spouse, Josh Kelley. In 2009, the couple adopted Nancy Leigh (12), a daughter from South Korea, and Adalaide (8 the black child) in 2012.
